Britney Spears' former boyfriend Adnan Ghalib is said to have taken a break
from work and gone into hiding after revealing that he has been harassed
by the singer's fans.
Mr Ghalib also claimed that he was stabbed in the arm in April as irate fans
vented their fury over his relationship with the 26-year-old singer.
The video is alleged to feature Spears performing a striptease
while wearing a pink wig during a trip the couple took to Mexico.
Rumours about the existence of the tape and - Ghalib's plan to sell it
for use on the internet - first surfaced last month
and, in an interview with Heat magazine, Ghalib commented on them.
Ghalib, 35, said:
"I have had many calls about it from all over the world.
In light of the constant calls about the sex tape and threats,
I'm taking a break from the industry and keeping a low profile."
