Uma Thurman hopes to be Stalker free

After weeks of dealing with a stalker, actress Uma Thurman
has finally been able to attempt to put this nightmare behind her.
But now an attorney for the convicted stalker has made shocking statements
about Ms. Thurman and claims that Uma Thurman exaggerated the effect
convicted stalker Jack Jordan had on her life.

Jordan has been ordered to keep his distance from the Hollywood star
for five years following his conviction for stalking and harassing her.
He was arrested after attempting to force his way into her movie set trailer.
At the week-long trial at New York's Manhattan Supreme Court,
Thurman and her parents testified, revealing how Jordan had bombarded them
with notes and letters and threatened to kill himself
if her mother and father refused to pass on the messages.

But George Vomvolakis, defending Jordan, alleges,
"Miss Thurman exaggerated tremendously the effect Mr. Jordan had on her life."
Court observers were stunned by the latest allegations by the defense.
Many questioned whether or not he should be trying to get help for his client
instead of blaming the complainant herself.

Jordan himself told at the sentencing hearing he didn't realize his presence had distressed the actress.
His statement to the court on Monday read,
"I just want to apologize to Miss Thurman and her family."
He further added,
"I have never stalked a woman before in my life.
The slightest word from Ms. Thurman, and I would have left her alone."

Thurman is hoping to move on with her life in security and safety
and to try to raise her children and live her life in peace.
