but it seems that the credit crunch may have hit Lindsay Lohan.
The 22-year-old actress was spotted catching the New York subway
with girlfriend Samantha Ronson.
The couple stood throughout most of their journey before exiting in Soho
where they headed to a store to buy DJ equipment.
London born Ronson, the sister of Mark Ronson, has been credited with helping
to turn Lohan’s life around but it seems that the DJ is growing increasingly unpopular
with those close to the actress.
Just months after being labelled a 'disgusting representation of humanity'
by Lindsay’s father Michael – he later retracted the comments –
Ronson has been slammed by the actress' friend Joe Francis.
Speaking on The Tyra Banks Show, the Girls Gone Wild creator said:
'Samantha is very jealous. Samantha tried to start a fight with me.
'I care about Lindsay - she's not gay.
She's being controlled by this wretched woman, this Samantha.'
Ronson, 30, has previously spoken of her dislike of Francis,
claiming that he ignored her at a party for the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA), adding:
'He said hello to Lindsay and looked over at me as if I wasn't a human being.
He's got no manners.'
Meanwhile Lohan - who recently finished filming a guest appearance on Ugly Betty,
has defended her girlfriend.
'Joe Francis has no place in saying anything about Samantha,
especially after all the shit he has done,' she said.
