BENNINGTON, Vt.—
Police say two Bennington firefighters are facing
sex crime charges against a junior member
of the Bennington Rural Fire Department.
The Bennington police chief says First Assistant
Chief Shawn LaFountain will be arraigned Tuesday
on charges of lewd and lascivious conduct
and sexual assault.
The police chief says another fireman,
whom he declined to identify,
will be charged with three counts of sexual assault.
LaFountain has resigned from the fire department.
